All Creatures Great and Small Summer Term

In the Summer term we will learn about creatures of all different sizes as we focus on minibeasts and dinosaurs. We will explore minibeasts and think about where they might live and the characteristics they have. We will also look at the time of the dinosaurs and learn about fossils and how we know about this period of time. We will enjoy a WOW day when we get to explore the land of the dinosaurs in greater detail and put some of our knowledge to the test! In science, we will look at plants and their features – taking time to understand the types of plants and trees we find at our school!

Zero to Hero Spring Term

In the Spring term we will learn about everything it takes to become a hero. We will explore ‘Real-life’ heroes and the work that they do in our community. We will also look at some historical figures that are known as heroes and think about why that is. We will look at the qualities that heroes need to have and enjoy a WOW day where we put these things into practise! As part of 11b411 we will try to achieve hero status by carrying out good deeds throughout the term.

Turrets, Tiaras and Tales Autumn Term

In the Autumn term we will travel back in time to learn all about castles and how and why they were made. We will discover different types of castles and find out about the people who lived in them. We will visit Lewes castle to give some real-life experience of being in a castle. We will also explore different traditional tales using our inside and outside spaces and think about the different characters.
