Spring 1 Week 6

Gung Hay Fat Choy!  Happy New Year!

This week we will be exploring the Chinese New Year as it falls on Friday 12th February! We will look at how people prepare and celebrate at this special time of year, explore the story of The Great Race and even try speaking a little Mandarin! We normally celebrate this with a 'WOW' day and would like to keep that the same in 2021! So we are inviting you to join us on Friday by wearing red, learning dragon dancing and maybe even a little food tasting (of course this last one is for you to decide whether you would like to do at home)!

Once again, we have loved looking at all of the work you have been sending in and we are so glad that you enjoyed cracking the secret code and seeing the Jolly Postman. We have also seen some wonderful bear facts. Please keep sharing, it is so important that we get to see your child's learning.

We have created a  weekly challenge sheet that details the different activities you can try at home each day. Please visit Tapestry regularly for updates as videos and activities will be sent daily to assist you with your learning, so look out for these!

If you have any questions or need additional support, please contact us using Tapestry. We can't wait to see how you get on so please share observations with us.
