Sporting Successes at Eastbrook

Last year we achieved the Sainsbury’s School Games Mark Gold Award for the first time after previously achieving Silver.  Additionally, we also applied for the KS1 Quality Start Award for the first time and were awarded Silver.  We will be aiming for Gold this year!

We participated in a total of 32 inter-school competitions, including reaching the area finals of basketball, cross country, indoor athletics, netball, girls football, quadkids and quicksticks.

Shoreham locality competition highlights included: 1st places in cross country, indoor athletics, netball, quicksticks, quadkids and swimming.

Southern area finals highlights included: 2nd place in basketball and 3rd places in quadkids and quicksticks.

We took part in two inclusion events (indoor athletics and new age kurling) and KS1 competed at an inter-school event for the first time (gymnastics).

We placed joint 1st in the Shoreham locality schools overall league with a total of 157 points (compared to 127 points in 15/16)
